This is weird--40 years?!

I (finally) graduated with a bachelor's degree from BYU in 2017! Now I work in a dean's office at BYU (Undergraduate Education) and still occasionally use my shorthand that Miss Denise Mortensen taught me!

My husband (Jim) and I are almost empty-nesters and have 10 grandkids, scattered from Idaho to Texas.

Life is good.

*lots of time on the phone with Kris, who always willingly helped me with my math!
*getting Mr. VanLeuven off on a tangent during English...(he was later our bishop!)
*Denise Mortensen's typing and shorthand classes
*driving all night on the bus to get to the Drill Team competition in Pocatello, with our groovy drill team uniforms
*making and selling suckers at basketball games for FBLA
*FBLA convention at Hotel Utah
*exciting state championships
*seeing Donny and Marie at our events
*lettering the cheer and flag-twirlers' names for their uniforms
*marching in the RAINY 4th of July parade, 1977
*french fries at Dee's
*the driving range
*lots of homework
*dissecting frogs
*walking to Seminary
*working on Sterling Scholar portfolios
*Mrs. Vroman's English class, AND Miss Nelson's. (I went to Miss Nelson's retirement open house last year. She hasn't changed a bit. I always did love her, especially after she gave me an A on my mythology paper--that I delivered to her home because it was due by midnight!)
*and, lots of good friends!!
