Thanks David, All excellent ideas. I'll let the admin types decide on the most efficient method. Once this is done, we should have less Missing Classmates and can focus our time on the ones that are left. TV has done an awesome job of finding everyone. Either that, or none of them ever left town? Kidding - we should be able to find more. I can't wait to see the details about our first evening together in 30 years.

Note: Is there a competing effort on www.classmates.com? I must have an old account there that I can no longer access. I am getting a lot of emails about PHS reunion from the website, but can't get information unless I sign up with them again. Hopefully, everyone on that site is also signing up on this site.

Many, many thanks to Bryan Chapman for putting our yearbook photos up on the site! We haven't changed a bit! ;-)

Nikki (and everyone that was involved in the last few reunions) - do you have information on the married names of our female classmates? Any old signup list would be helpful. e.g. I think that Patrice Palmer was married at the first reunion, but I can't remember her married name.

Bryan - thanks for adding the photo's. It really adds to the memory retrieval process. One little thing, the two Horsley's are switched. Todd is probably loving the joke.

Todd, where is Teresa?

So there I was this morning, at 5:00 a.m., staring at all the posted yearbook profile photos of what we all looked like 30 years ago. I have to admit...I only remember and really know 1/3 of my classmates, another 1/3 look a little familiar but I didn't really get to know them, and...drum roll please...the other 1/3 I don't remember at all! lol Is that crazy or what? Although I had a great time in high school, we all had our cliques and groups of friends that we hung out with and saw in the hallways, classes, and school events. In some ways, high school was an extension of the social awkwardness of junior high and some of us were just trying to survive and discover who we were at the time and what we wanted to become in life...some faster than others. Looking back, my life in high school was a combination of Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Revenge of the Nerds...sprinkled in with a touch of Animal House! lol On that note...y'all have a great day! :^)

I wasn't really sure how to go about this, but, I will need to find someone to babysit my children during the reunion on the 1st.

We have 8, 6, 4 year olds that will need looking after.

Any suggestions?

I was looking through my collection of quotes and thoughts, and I found one that expresses my feelings about this site and all the reconnecting it has provided us.
"To look backward for awhile is to refresh the eye, to restore it, and to render it the more fit for its prime function of looking forward."--Margaret Fairless Barber
For all of you who have the "know how" to make this possible, Thank you.

This is to David Harris. I do not know how to reach you in any other way.
You mentioned Valerie Weaver in one of your messages.
I would love to have contact with her again. Since it seems you are still connected to her, would you please let her know that I am interested in e-mailing her.
Thanks for your help.

I have seen Valerie Weaver a few times in the past 10 years and have misplaced her email.
Would you please let her know I am trying to contact her and give her my information.
Thanks

Our goal is to be able to provide some cash scholarships to sons/daughters of Class of 79 Alumni who are needing some extra help in paying for college.

This would include in state/out of state schools. The amount of the scholarships will depend upon the amount of money donated and the number of applicants.

I plan on releasing an email with a scholarship application attached by the end of next week. Instead of picking and choosing who deserves it, I was thinking of a straight scholarship payable directly to the college in the name of the matriculated student(s).

Any suggestions?

Hey--great news!!

I just found a bunch of HS slides and two drillteam films. Does anyone know if the slides can be scanned or do they have to be professionally converted? Does anyone have a 35mm film projector?

JoLyn,

If you would contact Bill Peterson, he is the Person doing a Video for the Program. He does this for a living, and he should know!

Hi JoLyn,

I also had some questions related to photos that I'm interested in submitting, so I sent Bill an email message yesterday. And since I had seen your message recently, I also mentioned to him that he should respond to you as well as to me. Hopefully, we'll hear from Bill soon.

Sounds like a great find! Thanks!

Kip

Superpages has Gseping Liu in Bear, DE, phone 302-325-9996; and Lochlin MacLeod in Salt Lake City, phone 801-533-6996. I've made an attempt to call these numbers, but no one was home, and I'm out of time to try. Does someone else want to pick these up?

If you get a hold of Gse, tell him I still enjoy remembering the Senior Prom at Provo High. (I'd upload the picture, but it's packed in a box somewhere - yeah, I'm in the middle of moving. But if you're really interested, there were several other people in the picture - Eric Vogel, Lisa Blair, Roald Bennion, Denae Nagle, Lorin Lund, Debbie Falgaust...I'm sure one of them still has it, right?)

I didn't see Kathy Utley in the class list - Anybody know what happened to her? Since I ended up at TVHS, I haven't seen her since Sophmore year.

What address do we send if we donate to the reunion? I had a classmate ask so I just needed to know the information so I can pass it along.

Carolee,
Go to the home page on the right side, click on the "donate" button. It takes you to the Paypal site and you can specify the amount you would like to donate. That is the easiest way. If you are unsure of the security and insist on mailing a check, contact Wayne Fagg for a hard address, he is our site admin.

I've been trying to locate a few of the people that grew up by the hospital/river area. But as I look at the list of people that still haven't had any contact (maybe they have and haven't responded?), if everyone that grew up or lived near someone on the list took to locating and making sure they, it would help out. I suggest someone (or more than one) keep a list of profiles from this reunion, so no one will be missed the next reunion. I know alot of us never got word of the 20th reunion and heck we still had parents living in the same home with the same number as when we were in High School. Just a suggestion for future use. Great job in putting this all together, especially those that weren't even class officers to step up and make sure it happened.
