Comments:

I married my high school sweetheart Laura Wilkinson; also known as The Green Fairy from The Tempest and Yum Yum from The Mikado. I knew I was going to marry her the first time I heard her sing! I went on an LDS Mission to Munich Germany, attended BYU on a music sholarship, performed in numerous Operas and Musicals for BYU, Opera West, Utah Opera Company and Triad Theatre Company and the original Prairee Crooners cowboy trio. We lived in Taylorsville Utah for 19 years while we grew a family and moved down to Saratoga Springs 5 years ago. Our kids are all "hams" at heart and have performed on their own and as a family. One of our favorite memories is performing together in "Savior of the World" at the L.D.S. Conference Center. Our oldest is at UVU trying to decide on a major in Applied Physics, Geology or Political Science. Our second is currently serving an L.D.S. Mission in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Our youngest is a senior in high school; involved in music, drama and dance. She has a desire to either teach or go into physical therapy. Laura has taught voice and piano for many years and works as a software consultant for a company that builds and maintains financial software. I have worked in financial services for several years, but my passion for specialized education also drew me to work with Stevens Henager College, Franklin Covey Personal Coaching and Griffin Hill Business Coaching. I am now in the process of building my own financial Services Agency.

School Story:

I was a BYU bratt! I spent most of my time away from the high school when I wasn't involved with wrestling season or the school musicals. I performed in BYU's bi-centennial BRIGHAM, Our Town, TOSCA, Marriage of Figaro and Elixer of Love during my sophmore and junior years; while performing in Taming of the Shrew, H.M.S. Pinnaphore and Fiddler on the Roof at Provo High my junior and senior years. I also spent a good deal of my time stalking my future wife! I don't think I acted stuck up, except for the time when the choir went on tour to California. I was the obnoxious kid singing in the bathroom at the back of the tour bus. Okay, I was a bit self absorbed! Ron Selk and I use to go bowling or play ping pong at the Wilkinson Center whenever we got a chance. I have fond memories of the times a bunch of us manually moved cars around in the parking lot after a wrestling practice or match. I remember when a group of us put together a patomime called Smedley's Bowling Fantasy and won high honors at Region and State competition. I was the lunch line bouncer; which got me free school lunch, a few wrestling matches and some interesting proposals! One of the stupidest things I ever did was trying to beat my distance on the twelve minute run. It was in the middle of winter, but the track was clear. I kept stripping off clothing until I was down to my shorts and then made the mistake of taking off my shoes. I ran faster, but payed the price with second and third degree burns on the bottom of my feet. There were a lot of impromptu moments for the cast of Fiddler on the Roof; like the time the set door got caught on the cardboard flooring and I had to put my weight behind the door to get it open and in turn rippled the cardboard into a big pile in the middle of the set. Or the time that
Steve Bullock(Perchek) and I were waiting for Clayne Crooksten(Golda) to come down from the dressing room for her next scene and had to make up impromptu diolog for a couple of minutes. I haven't opened up my year books for several years and I am sure if I did I would have a flood of memories.
